There is much sadness at Templetuohy CC and indeed the wider coursing community at the passing of Denis Kelly, Crannagh, Templetuohy. Affectionately known as ‘Big Dinny’ , Denis was a member of Templetuohy CC since he was 10 years old and was much loved and respected by all. Only a few months ago they all celebrated when himself & Patsy Kiely won the Oaks TS at Borrisoleigh with Crannagh Wonder and again when she raised a flag in the opening round of the Oaks at Clonmel.
Pre-deceased by his wife Eileen, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Anne Marie, sons Murty, John Paul, Declan, Denis & Aidan, sister, grandchildren, extended family and his many friends.
Reposing at Grey’s Funeral Home, Templemore on Saturday, April 20th, from 4pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11am in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Templetuohy followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. May he Rest In Peace.
Our sincere sympathy to John Curtin (Newcastlewest CC, Team Powerstown & ICC hare husbandry advisor) on the death of his brother Patrick.
Patrick’s wife Mary, son, daughters, brothers, sisters and extended members of the Curtin family are also in our thoughts & prayers.
Reposing at Riedy’s Funeral Home, Newcastlewest on Thurday April 18th from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday in Kilcolman Church at 12 noon followed by burial in Feenagh Cemetery.
May he Rest in Peace.
Members of Sevenhouses Coursing Club and his many friends at Kilkenny Track will be deeply saddened at the death of Stephen (Dino) Behan, Thomastown. Stephen never missed a Friday night at Kilkenny track and together with his great friend Donal Lanigan they enjoyed much success with their greyhounds carrying the Bellmore prefix. However it would also be true to say that Stephen never missed a day at the Sevenhouses coursing field from September to January. He was much more than just Club Chairman, a position he held for a lengthy time until he stepped down last year. He was also a great leader, a tireless worker and much respected by everyone in the Sevenhouses club where his passing leaves a huge void.
Our sincere sympathy to his brothers, sisters, friends & neighbours and extended members of the Behan family.
Reposing on Friday April 19th from 4.30pm to 7.00pm at the Mercy Side Chapel of the Church of the Assumpion. Requiem Mass at 11am on Saturday followed by burial in St Mary’s New Cemetery, Thomastown.
May he Rest In Peace.
